Introductory and Fundamental Sailing Classes

If you are thinking that you would like to try sailing, but you are not ready to tackle the certification level, then this full day class is just what you are looking for. One of our professional instructors will spend the day with you teaching the basics – tacking, jibing, points of sail, parts of the boat, rigging, etc. Take the helm and experience the joy of sailing. This is a perfect for family outings or quality time with friends. Makes a great gift too!

Private Instruction & Customized Training

Private instruction is available in all facets of sailing either on your own boat or on one of ours. This includes refresher courses as well as confidence-building practice in docking or close quarters maneuvering.

Experienced Sailors Certification Challenge

The ASA 101 challenge consists of a half-day evaluation on a Capri 22 with an instructor/evaluator. The ASA 103 or 101/103 challenge consists of a half-day evaluation on a 25 – 35 ft keelboat with an instructor/evaluator. Challenge classes are offered to students that have registered for a class that requires a prerequisite of 101 or 103 certification. All certification are given after successful completion of the registered class.

ASA101 – Basic Sailing (2-day semi-private)

This course is designed to teach Basic Keelboat sailing over a 2-day period and is limited to 2 persons, which will allow you to get the needed individual instruction and hands-on time sailing on the water. Students may register individually, but there must be 2 students to run the class. Classes are typically scheduled for Saturday and Sunday and run each day from 9 am – 4 pm. Upon graduation, you will receive ASA certification and you will be ready to safely and confidently skipper boats in the 25 ft. range.

ASA 103 (3 Day) Basic Coastal Cruising

The ASA 103 Course, also known as Basic Coastal Cruising, is designed for individuals who wish to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 25 to 35 feet in length during daylight hours, in moderate winds and sea conditions.

ASA 103/104 Combo

The ASA 103/104 combo course is an intensive program that combines Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103) and Bareboat Cruising (ASA 104) into a comprehensive sailing course.

ASA 104 BareBoat Crusing with option for IPC

This course is designed to give individuals the knowledge and skills needed to competently sail and handle boats 30 – 45 ft. This is an on-the-water class and you WILL BE staying on the boat. You will learn the skills of provisioning the boat, galley operations, boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, routine maintenance, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation & chart plotting, anchoring and docking. The course prepares you for chartering a bareboat or cruising your own boat.
